After a cathartic wish week Peggy was not quite back to the top of her game. She was, in a word, distracted. She'd taken a day or two to pull herself together when she noted how everyone was...different.

Howard was simply not himself at all, and those she knew were out of sorts. She took it upon herself to deal with matters of sorting out security and relations between departments under Howard and Barnes were back to their old selves. With that came endless paperwork, but she was used to that as well.

The paperwork was likely the reason she didn't notice the young woman coming. She was distracted, preoccupied really with the matters at hand. She nearly ran headlong into the young woman as they both rounded a corner at the same time.

"Oh, terribly sorry."

She'd heard the heartbeat before she'd turned the corner. Smelled Peggy way before she ever saw her. This was not good. No one else around.

She stood her ground after Peggy ran into her, just watching. Smiling softly and dangerously.

What are you doing, Kenzi? Control yourself! You can do this. Just walk away.

"No biggie, Chiquita. All my fault." The smile grew wider, but not wide enough to cause alarm. "You're Howard's friend, right? From 1940's land?"

Peggy smiled pleasantly, she lowered the paperwork as Kenzi addressed her. A friend of Howard's? It made sens, he was the sort of man who knew everyone in a matter of days, much more social than herself.

"Yes, I'm Peggy Carter. Howard and I worked together back home. I'm sorry, but I don't know your name, miss?"
