Ventilation, here. If we get off at level three I can go through these vents, out here in the first staff apartment and secure the elevator for you to come down.

If 'berries don't work I could force the door and signal you through the shaft.

Two reasons. Reason one is I'm as tall as you now, but I'm quite a bit skinnier. I'm gonna have a hell of an easier time with that vent. Reason two is if you're in the elevator, nobody's using it to go up and stop the riots. You can just hang out on floor three or wherever holding the open door button if there is one, or else kill anyone who comes into the lift.

[Shika settles quietly against the wall beside her. Outwardly he seems calm, but his chakra is buzzing. He's ready to go. He's been ready to go.]

[He knows her well enough to pick up that her chakra is off the chart. She's a bundle of anxiety and energy, waiting for this whole mess to go down.

She bumps against his shoulder, since he's settled in to wait with her.]

[Shika turns his face toward the ceiling, leaning toward her just a little. Thoughts fly though his mind at that same dizzying speed that seems to baffle anyone with the unique chance to experience them, but his voice is level and quiet when he speaks.]

She's here. Probably pacing right now. She's doing better after she let off some steam and got some sleep, but she's still anxious. Still young.
