Summary: Lois isn't sure what to think about her meeting with Clark. Apollo is always here to pry help.

The forecast called for Hurricane Lois! She stormed in, thankful to find Apollo there and thoroughly prepared.

"You're a man. What makes men do such stupid things?"

It was an expression of frustration more than anything, she needed to get it out of the way before she dropped into a chair and gratefully took the coffee he'd offered.

"Haven't quite figured that one out myself, call it one of life's great mysteries," he remarks, pouring himself a cup of coffee too and sitting down across from her at the kitchen table. After so long with Angie and Jenny, to an extent, before her, he knows the drill.

"The kids and husband are otherwise occupied, so go ahead and tell me. What happened?"

She sighed, her hand rubbed over her face.

"Remember when I told you about my partner? How he died? Well apparently he didn't die. He was alive and recovering in the penthouse suite of his high school sweetheart."

The way she spat the words made 'high school sweetheart' sound like 'cheap trollop.' It was obvious she was jealous, but she didn't see it, or at least didn't see it for what it was.

"Really?" Well, he knew that already. Clark = Superman and all, but he's not going to let on that he knows. It'll just make things worse when Clark DOES decide to tell Lois. "Mmhm. Are we jealous?" He raises an eyebrow slightly. "Whoever she is, I'm sure she's got nothing on you." Because that's the right thing to say to not piss a woman off.
