The fight had really taken a bit of a toll on him, the boy not really wanting to talk about exactly how he ended up in the condition that he was in. But as long as Naruto didn't ask any detailed questions then he'd at least be okay for the time being. Though when his silent little sanctuary was broken by the knock and voice he couldn't help the bit of smile that showed itself. "The door should not be locked, Naruto-kun," he called, at least glad he wasn't hurt enough to be unable to talk clearly.

Taking a moment he shifted around in the bed, making sure not to move the two limbs he knew would end up hurting like no tomorrow if he even attempted to.

He slowly opened the door and poked his head in, looking around as if searching something. When he spotted Haku, he immediately went in, sitting on the edge of the bed. The blond looked at the other boy, concern beginning to lace his eyes.

"Wow, tough luck, man! You look like you were trampled by a dozen elephants or something!!" He remarked, bringing his hands behind his head. "You sure you're okay? Need any help?!" He let his eyes wander until he spotted the two rabbits inside the fence.

"Are those yours?!"

Slowly he looked the other over, figuring that he was right in assuming the other was older than he was before. Even an outfit change, though he couldn't say that less orange was a bad thing, not for a shinobi anyway. But he left his thoughts to himself, merely content in letting the other talk for a little bit. Even if he wasn't exactly messed up too much, he still was a bit more fond of others talking if he didn't have to.

"Ah, not particularly elephants, but close enough," he muttered softly, leaning back to stare at the ceiling. But it didn't last long, his good arm being moved to remove the bun that was still in his hair. It was a little more comfortable to be laying back without it in, anyway.

The comment about the rabbits on the other hand caught his attention, a tiny bit of a giggle escaping. "They are mine, yes. I was lucky enough to be here when the doctors were being kind enough to let some rabbits loose in here. Unlike some who went about killing them, I took those two in instead."

He leaned back too, a scowl gracing his face. "Tch, well that's just mean! Even if rabbits can be annoying sometimes, I can't see any reason for anyone to kill them!" Naruto exclaimed all-knowingly.

"Say Haku, how long have you been here?" It was a question that suddenly popped inside his mind and since the blond had always been very blunt, it already escaped his lips before he even had a chance to rethink it.
