Gamzee, on the other hand, hadn't really been paying attention to the experiment at all. He'd been laying low since he arrived the week before--not for the same reasons as the Joker--he wasn't trying to keep other people away from him. He was more trying to keep himself from other people ( ... )

Joker turned, a little smile spreading on his face when he sees Gamzee's own makeup.

"Miracle, my boy. Why?"

"You fuckin' know about the mir--

--you know about miracles?"

Gamzee's fingers twitch on his right hand. He wants to touch this other person's face and see if he's really wearing white on his face, if he's really got makeup on like Gamzee does, or if this is...something to do with an experiment, or something to do with what Gamzee himself wants to see.

His hands are clean, mostly, but there's still a bit of blood under his fingernails. His shirt has all types of colored blood on it--not that Joker would know that was blood, unless he was familiar with trolls. And his own face paint is old...dried, cracked, smeared with indigo blood due to the scratches down his face. A mess.

He takes a step closer to the man.

"....are you real?"

"Real...."

Joker takes a step closer, grinning widely, a low chuckle rattling around in his chest.

"As anything else."

A glance at his shirt, and Joker's eyebrows slowly climbed up, and he looks up at Gamzee with a matter of fact expression that gave the impression that his lips would part and he would let the laugh clawing at his throat out into the world. The expression of a man placing a silk handkerchief over a small, precious object and building the crowd up to the word disappear.

"You've been up to a little.....excitement, now haven't you?"
