He glanced over to her as she came into the room. Where she was wide eyed and trembling, clearly nervous and afraid Sollux was calm. Even happy to see her, as he gave her a smile before glancing back to his game. Tossing it onto the desk and coming over to her. He looked her over, and frowned to see how scared she was. He placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Are you alright? I was worried about you."

Out of everything it was that calmness that mad Feferi the most uneasy around Sollux this week. Had something changed when she was gone? He had to remember the twins, what hers had done to him. He still held the scar.

Maybe she was jumpy. She just couldn't tell anymore.

"I haven't seen John lately." She answers, turning to him. She doesn't move away but there was still a tension in her shoulders, an uncertainty in her tone. "Sorry, I was-" Hiding. Scared.

She shakes her head. "Are you ok? You seem-" Calm. "ok."

"No it's okay." he said, his face going back to a smile. "We can't trust anyone this week, I understand. John probably feels the same, it's probably why he doesn't want to be around you right now."

The smile was out of place to say the least. Almost like it had been glued to his face. It wasn't natural, and more importantly, it wasn't Sollux. He'd be worried, upset at her for leaving, understanding maybe, but never pleased.

"I'm fine. Especially now that you're here." Sollux's hand tightens almost painfully on her shoulder. As painfully as someone in Sollux's body can manage anyway. "I'm glad you came back Feferi."

Whoever this was it was fairly obvious it wasn't Sollux anymore, however well he may have been pretending before. He'd abandoned all pretenses now, he was sick of pretending, and by coming back here Feferi had just given him a golden chance. He surrounds her in his psionics, not letting her move as he leans down to kiss her briefly on the cheek.

"I missed you FF."

Feferi wasn't sure why she wasn't doing something. She wasn't an idiot, that pit in her stomach wasn't nerves. Something was wrong here- very wrong, horribly wrong. She needed to do something, run away or fight back or just anything, anything at all.

"Sollux-" She finally does start to do something, and that something was back away once his grip became painful. Every line in her body looked like she was ready to bolt, a fairly rare occurrence considering her fight or flight instinct always leaned towards fighting. But this was Sollux- or Sollux's face- and they knew exactly what to do to make her falter that one crucial moment.

When that one moment passed she did try to run but it was already too late, the familiar electricity of Sollux's psionics keeping her right in place. She struggles, that pit in her stomach growing all the more heavy as dread began to make her feel light headed. She had been so good this week, so careful, so- so stupid. So very, very stupid
