Trip? I feel really naked right now, without my guns and ammo. I hope I get them back soon.

Did no one tell you about that? Every couple of months we go on "trips". It's a different location each time and when we go, everyone gets their primary weapons back. All the people with powers get all their powers back too.

Oh, right! Dave told me about that, I guess I just didn't know that you could get your weapons back.

[artemisaim]

Yeah, you do. We're usually there for about three weeks and in the past, the weapons have been necessary.

Good. Grandpa would be really disappointed if I didn't have a rifle on me at all times!

[artemisaim]

Oh yeah? Did your grandpa teach you how to use a rifle?

[quarkylass]

Yes! I've been using guns since before I can remember.

[artemisaim]

That's pretty cool. I've never really used a gun. I've always preferred bows and swords. Unless you count that one time with the Kree ray gun...

And I've never used a bow or a sword, so I guess we're even! What's a ray gun?

[artemisaim]

Wow, this is gonna be weird to explain. It's a gun that basically shoots a laser. I took it from an alien who was trying to kill me.

So cool. I mean, the laser part! Not the killing part, that is bad.

[artemisaim]

It would have definitely been cooler without the "trying to kill everyone" part. After a while the whole alien thing kind of stops being interesting, you know? There are only so many times they can try to kill you before it just gets boring. Not that all aliens are like that, of course.

Things are usually cooler without the death! In my opinion, anyway.

[She laughs] Yeah, definitely a lot cooler. It's pretty hard to enjoy things when you're dead, let alone thing they're cool.

I'm really glad I've only died once.
