She was in a state of deep despair, curled up on her bed in a defenseless, feeble position. Her best friend, her lifeline, the boy that had always been by her side through thick and thin-- he was gone. They took him away, just like that.
She hadn't even got a chance to say goodbye.
Her pillow was stained with tears as she tried to choke back her sobs, grasping onto it tightly with one hand, the other holding on to a homemade doll made by the boy in question, just for her.
If there ever was a time to grab her, now would be it. She was at her most utter low.

Joker slipped into the door, letting the door click just the slightest amount as he closed it. Enough to catch the attention. And then he started in one one of his greatest talents.
Standing perfectly still.
Being perfectly silent.
And watching. There was a sort of paranoia that built up in the people he watched, a slow, unconscious realization that was just hysterical to watch. It would tide him over until the real fun started, certainly, so he made his approach slow, agonizing, and very nearly completely silent.
