He had been focusing all night, that's essentially what he had to do and he knew it was his sole purpose at the moment. To wrap his head around everything he needed to meditate, to calm his mind and to assure himself that he was doing the right thing, that he was doing what he could in this strange world they had found themselves in and while he essentially did not believe what was happening perpetually, he knew that there was some truth to this world the more he experienced. The death, the rebirth, the walking dead, everything was coming together in the puzzle-piece that was his mind. It just took time, it took a moment and that night was all he needed. A breath in, a breath out and suddenly the communicator was sounding and he was pulled forward, awakening from his own thoughts ( ... )

When the door opened, she willed herself to relax: her shoulders dropped and she tilted her head up to meet his eyes after a nod in return. "So it seems." No doubt he had been meditating, and while she knew better to leave him alone (because she honestly didn't have to turn to him when it was so), consequence weighed little on her mind. The question had her quiet, thoughtful and with a breath she rolled her shoulders as an answer. A glance around and she felt her chest tighten at the mess her thoughts seemed to be. If speaking to him could help set things right, then she would--if it didn't, then there was not much lost, so she hoped.

"May I come in? Or is that too much to ask?"

Looking to the other, he could tell that there was something on her mind, some sort of conflict that was rolling through her mind and even with his diluted abilities he could still feel the tension there between them. The whole situation was a mess of complication and they were working their hardest to sort it out these things took time, particularly displacement at this level. So with quiet nod he turned his body to the side and opened up the door more for the other with a small smile upon his lips. It did not help to smile around her, maybe it would defuse some emotions but he was not going to be optimistic about it.

"It's never too much to ask, Siri."

The impression on each other that the Force had left on them seemed to make things worse--she could feel where he was, or at least make it out if she had no idea. It was easy to keep track of him, especially when she didn't want to, but what could she do? There was little she could make of that metaphysical guide asides from that, and so she wanted to hold onto that much at least. With him there, it was stronger, and the same way held when he was not. Standing there merely with the offer, she nodded her head once and walked in, arms crossed stilled. Once fully inside she looked to the desk, set her half of the weapon down upon it and looked back to him ( ... )
