There was a woman lying on the couch, reading. Long, blonde pigtails hung down off the side of the couch while she flipped the pages of her book, holding it up over her so she could see it. When she heard a door, she automatically assumed it was the other resident in her suite.

"That you, Lavi?" Tsunade probably should have been more on guard, but after her long stay, this suite felt like home. Safe. There weren't very many people stupid enough to mess with her, and she didn't take her eyes off of her book.

The woman was relaxed enough it was unlikely she was a guard. Still, it paid to be cautious. He left his door ajar and shrugged his right shoulder, shifting the fabric of his sheet further out of his way. He was ready to spring if she had a weapon. He answered neutrally, veiling his voice in calm.

"I am not Lavi."

No, that was definitely not Lavi's voice. She knew that voice. Tsunade's head fell back, staring at him upside down with wide eyes. "F-Folken?"

She dropped her book as she sat up and turned sharply to face him. She hadn't seen him since Abyss, and even that had been very brief. She'd been sixteen when he was terminated. It seemed a lifetime ago, but he was standing there just like she remembered him. "How . . . is this an experiment?"

Folken's eyes widened, but he slammed his mask back down quickly. This woman not only knew him, but knew him well enough that she didn't use any title.

There was nothing about her he recognised. Blonde hair could be Zaibachan or Asturian, but her features definitely weren't. For a man whose greatest possession was his mind, this hole was unacceptable.

"I don't know." Another neutral answer.
