Who: Emilia Galmar, Howard Link When: Wednesday Where: In the biodome, by the stream. Summary: Link and Emilia Disapprove of everyone. Yes, even you. It's a bonding experience. Rating: TBA Warnings: TBA
Link loosed an indignant squawk as the book beaned him above the temple, stumbling several steps to one side and reaching up to grip at the point of contact. On a normal week he would be steadier on his feet, but (in the interest of conserving water) he'd had just a little too much wine to make that possible on this particular week. Not that Link had ever been particularly good at holding his drink to begin with.
Looking around and trying to regain his balance, he quickly spotted Emilia by the stream and her book nearby on the ground.
Emilia stared at him, completely and utterly mortified.
"I didn't mean to hit you!" She cried, scrambling up and tottering over to pick up the book.
"I'm so, so sorry. I shouldn't have taken out my temper so childishly, look what I ended up doing!" With the book safely under her elbow, she straightened up to hover anxiously at Link.
"Are you injured? Are you bleeding? I don't have any plasters but I do have a clean handkerchief."
Link took a moment to gather himself, watching Emilia fret with a bleary sort of expression before he finally managed to kick his brain back into gear again.
"I'm alright," he insisted, reaching up to touch carefully at the tender spot on his head with one gloved hand. He pulled his fingers away for examination after a moment, turning them to show Emilia clean white cloth.
"No harm done." And she obviously hadn't done it on purpose (though she did have a rather impressive arm for a civilian), so there was nothing to stay angry over.
Emilia huffed in relief at the lack of blood. In her state she wouldn't have been able to help him back to his room if he'd been concussed.
"Still, I'm sorry for hitting you. I shouldn't be doing things I would have given Timothy a good telling off over."
She would have continued, but a wave of dizziness that had become far too familiar this week passed over her. Rather than topple and scare the man, she sat heavily in the grass, rubbing her eyes.
"Excuse me, I'm not in any state to be standing. That should have been a sign reading would be impossible."
