It was that which started it, really. America waited enough time (15 minutes after Lithuania had hung up was enough, right? He couldn't wait forever!) to shove open their door and pick up whatever Lithuania had brought by.

He saw it. He smiled, and picked it up, and everything would have been fine if he hadn't then spotted the brunette still hanging around.

That was where the problem started. Because America was feeling pretty magnanimous towards his friend for doing something so nice and dangerous for him (he really was a great guy, wasn't he?) and this week had already proved a test of all the self-control he had. (It wasn't very much.)

So, naturally, America took one wide-eyed look at his friend and promptly tried to tackle him.

Why oh why hadn't he just left? Because it was too tempting not to. He had been able to control himself around people long enough to get away so far, and he just couldn't run any longer. All that being said, the tackle still took him completely by surprise.

"Well ... nice to see you too."

Ooh the irony. Though he was horrified at himself for even thinking of such things let alone doing them, he stuck out anyway and tried to punch the other nation.

Not thinking clearly, America only just moved out of the way, and Lithuania's fist connected solidly with his shoulder. It made him yelp even as he tried to knee Lithuania in the stomach (which he'd already figured out was the best way to incapacitate Canada long enough to steal his maple syrup).

"This kind of sucks," he ground out, blue eyes flashing with something very close to misery. Not being in control of what he was doing was getting to America more than hurting people (though that was pretty crappy, too).

Yep, this sucked alright. Beyond the fact that it hurt, which it sure did, was the overwhelming feeling of being manipulated. And it was just a little too much like ... well he couldn't think about what it was like. If he did he would break, and he refused to allow that to happen.

"Sure does. Don't know what we can really do about it though."
