Normal humans might prefer a knock, but by this point, Soubi was rather used to people barging into his home loudly and unannounced. It had started with Kio and all gone downhill from there. That being said, Soubi didn't pay much heed to the suite door in this place. He always simply assumed that if someone knocked, it would be a visitor for one of his suitemates. He'd just gotten here, after all. Who would be coming to see him?

No one. At least, no one that he wouldn't be able to feel beforehand.

It was a few minutes before Soubi remembered that there was someone coming for him today, a realization which finally got him out of his desk chair and had him wandering out into the common room to answer the insistent knock ( ... )

I think I got it right about Soubi being tall? Darc is 5'7 if you dont count his horns...lol darc_nidellia May 8 2011, 00:27:35 UTC
Darc was already beginning to grow fidgety by the time the older male opened the door; patience wasn't known to be one of his virtues, and whilst his behaviour was somewhat softened this week thanks to his lack of inhibitions, the mild anxiety he felt over the inevitability of having a stranger's hands on him at least some point during this interaction along with the procedure itself wasn't exactly helping. However, his restless movements stilled once Soubi opened the door, and he looked up into the other's face on hearing his name spoken aloud. A small scowl of irritation crossed his visage as he took in the human's height, but he refrained from saying anything, giving the other a sharp, perfunctory nod of confirmation despite the fact that it hadn't sounded like a question.

"Yeah...so are you gonna let me in, or what?" his voice was gruff and low as always, though despite the lack of eloquence to his words, he wasn't attempting to be offensive. It was standard for his own people to speak like that, and he hadn't entirely rid ( ... )

Sou-chan here is 6'3". A monster by Japanese standards. wants_ur_ears May 8 2011, 00:45:36 UTC
Soubi's brow rose a bit, but he nodded, stepping back and motioning the other man inside. Soubi still couldn't be bothered with his bandages, or with buttoning his shirt for that matter. For anyone else, it might look frumpy, but for someone as tall and lanky as Soubi, the look seemed to work. At least cursorily.

Soubi wasn't anywhere near as worried about this. In University, he'd done inking, and he'd done etching, and this didn't seem to be more than a combination of the two. It was art in a different medium. How hard could it really be?

That confidence would probably pay off at some point tonight.

"My room is D. Go make yourself comfortable. I'm going to get the first aid kit, and I'll be in."

...though that probably didn't inspire a great deal of confidence in Darc.

Ahhh, he IS tall!! darc_nidellia May 8 2011, 01:17:22 UTC
Soubi's state of partial undress and the visible scars made no impact on the half-breed; whilst he was currently wearing the black cargo pants and tank top that he'd picked up during the facility three trip to Gotham, he was much more accustomed to wearing nothing but a skirt and sandals, his own constellation of scars quite frequently on display. Despite the fact that the majority of them were a testament to his years spent in slavery, he gave them very little thought.

He raised one raven brow when the older man mentioned the first aid kit, though whilst it wasn't exactly something he was pleased to hear, it was hardly unexpected; he'd already been informed that this would in al likeliness be painful, and he couldn't imagine that pushing needles into one's skin wouldn't cause some damage. Besides, after many of the things he'd been forced to endure he doubted it would seem like such a big deal; it was Soubi's close proximity to him that made him feel the most edgy. Following the level of abuse he had suffered he was highly adverse ( ... )
