James was lying on the couch, feigning sleep for lack of anything else to do. He couldn't use his wand and he hurt too much to do anything else. All of his robes wee piled over him as a make-shift blanket.

His eyes cracked open at the sound of voices that weren't Remus or Sirius'.

"Whossat?"

No it couldn't possibly be Sirius considering James might notice a heavy but warm weight curled against his side. Padfoot was there to keep his friend company but mostly warm with his own body heat. Big black ears caught the sound of people approaching long before the voice came and the door opened. Well, well - look what the cat dragged in. A cat.

Oh Izaya and Darc too but the scent of cat definitely filled his senses. He was surprised to see them both just walking in with their stuff like they were moving. A soft woof came almost like a greeting to the two but it also served as a hint to James that it wasn't him.

Darc came to an immediate standstil on catching sight of both James and Padfoot stretched out on the sofa, tensing up just a little at the unexpected company; he'd been hoping that they'd manage to get to the room without running into anyone, given that the freezing temperatures had robbed him of what little drive he had to make conversation. He eyed James warily, attempting to discern whether he was any kind of threat or not, though the presence of the dog - whom he recognised as the one who had wandered into their suite a few weeks back -served to ameliorate his mistrust a little. He glanced briefly in Izaya's direction, remaining close to the older male, before saying anything.

'We're gonna be using that empty room. Downstairs is flooded.' He said it bluntly and without emotion, though he was hoping the boy on the sofa wouldn't put up an argument; his body ached from the cold, and he was unwilling to fight.

Izaya did not speak. He simply stood besides Darc and tried to comfort Natsu who was now slightly panicky at the scent of a dog in the room. All the temperature drop and flooding has ate into him, making Izaya less likely to attempt conversation unless it was completely necessary. He was trying his utmost to not let his thought swayed to death.
