Axel portalled there, Roxas at his side, not really wanting to run across that guy before they could figure out how to take him down.

He stepped out of the plume of darkness towards Maka, looking far more serious than usual. "What's the plan?"

Maka nodded to both of them.

"We're just waiting for now for others to arrive."

"Yeah," Roxas said in a soft, slightly wavering voice. Dark blue eyes, shuttered and emotionless like he always claimed to be, met hers, and softened slightly. She looked tired, and hurt, and Roxas wished he could feel as empathetic as she deserved.

It had hurt him, but in that fleeting sort of way in which Nobodies felt, this echoing thought of "this is how I should react, right? This is awful."

"Are you okay?" His voice wasn't much louder, and he stayed conspicuously close to Axel, hand clenched tight around the redhead's.

Maka had been about to go and talk to a few other arrivals when Roxas's quiet words caught her attention. In truth, it wasn't Ramona's death that had bothered her, even if she felt a little bad about that. She hadn't even known her. What bothered her was that it could have been prevented, and she was the one that could have prevented it. If she hadn't been so cautious about worrying people, they could have made sure everyone knew just how dangerous Asura was.

"I'm-"She started but wavered, her eyes falling to the side. "I should have stopped this. I'll be fine Roxas, I just want to make sure this doesn't happen again."

Between the guilt, the anxiety and stress of the situation, she was probably very much not fine, but she was trained to cope under these sort of circumstances. She needed to be a leader and a fighter now, not an emotional wreck.

She moved beside him since Allen was one of the people here that she trusted most.

"They should be. There's more than just the order coming too."

"Thanks Allen. I know I can count on you." She gave him a weary smile before moving away to try and speak with more people who were arriving.

Helion normally arrived at these sorts of things early. That was mostly because back home, she played a bigger part in organization, and as such she was often helping people get set up before the meeting started. In this case however, they were discussing an area of knowledge that Helion knew basically nothing about, and as such if she were to actually arrive early, she might get in the way of whatever preparations were necessary.

So instead, she made a point of arriving precisely 10 minutes after Maka's post was made, down to the second. Yes, Helion was annoyingly punctual like that.

"Umm, I'm not late, am I?"

"It's okay, a lot more people are coming than expected and we're waiting on them." Maka was glad she'd offered up her room since it was twice the size of the other rooms.
