Shikamaru walked to the door in even strides, glad to be freed of the hobbling pace he'd been forced to adopt the week before. Tsunade's healing had taken his leg to about ninety percent again, so no one could whine at him about how pathetic his hobbling was.
Not that he looked much better this week. His arm was splinted and bound to his chest, most of the bandaging (including the still blood stained ones stretching onto his back) covered by one of Kanda's large exorcist jackets.
He opened the door, a mildly annoyed expression on his face, and looking mussed as if he'd just rolled himself out of bed. "What did you want?"
"Stop that. You're gonna hurt yourself." Shikamaru rolled his eyes at Willow and shook his head. He did feel better in, in more ways than one, but he wasn't going to prattle on about it. There was no need for that.
"Can't have you doing something stupid after you fixed me up," he offered quietly. It was the closest thing the witch would be getting to a "thank you" at the momenPr
Willow smiled at Shikamaru, and layed herself back down again, and closed her eyes, and apparently, nodded off again. She looked farely peaceful, her creased brow was smoothing and she fell into a much lighter sleep, a sign that she was recovering well.
Shikamaru watched Willow drift off again, waiting until he was sure she was asleep before rising from the floor, dusting off his pants with his good arm. The girl seemed to be just fine, so he wasn't going to wait around all day. She might get the wrong idea. He needed to go back to his own room anyway and see what could be salvaged after Allen's rampage.
He grabbed Kanda's jacket, slung it over one shoulder, and headed out the door.
