If someone decided to strain their ears reaaally hard, they would hear the tiniest of feather-soft knocks on the outside of Roxas' door. It was almost like the person outside was too scared to really draw attention to themselves, but they still wanted to open the Schrodinger's box that the doctors had presented; was Roxas alive, or has he been terminated?

Tavros was the culprit, his knuckles having been gently brushing against the white door for at least ten minutes now. Ten minutes before that, he was pacing around the hallway wondering if he could really bring himself to check on the situation. Ten minutes before that he was in his room curled up the same way Axel was doing right now.

He decided the only way he could really go through with seeing whether or not Roxas is okay is if he manned up and just forced his way into the room. ... So that's what he did; he turned the handle and nearly ran inside, his horns lucky enough to not get embedded in the door frame or anything ridiculous like that. And then, he saw Axel.

"... Oh. Hi

Axel jerked a little, then moaned into the pillow, not wanting to see anyone. He didn't want to know that anyone else existed right now, not when he wished that he didn't. "What?" He snapped, voice muffled by the fabric.

"... Uuh."

And Tavros was at a complete loss of things to say. He could ask Axel where Roxas was, certainly, but it didn't exactly look like a prime time for that conversation.

He decided to stammer at the most knee-jerk of all his reactions: "S-s-sorry."

He didn't say anything for a long moment before sighing, again into the pillow, "he's gone."
