Maka was taken off guard and jumped a little when a figure flew through the window of the building she was currently in, but a smile crossed her face as she recognized the soul wavelength. She glanced at the girl, and her smile quickly dissipated.

Helion looked exhausted and injured on top of it, and it didn't seem like she'd been treated or rested for a while.

"Helion! Are you alright?" She frowned at her friend, her eyebrows creasing in worry as she strode forward to meet her.

Maka wasn't the only one taken off guard. This was getting to be a bad habit of Helion's -- it seemed like every third time she flew into a building, it was occupied. She really needed to stop doing that -- what if it was someone dangerous waiting inside?

Still, in response to Maka's question, Helion did quick analysis of her injuries, likely being overheard by Maka thanks to the telepathy.

There were cuts and injuries across her body, but the head injury was probably the most serious one. That one was bad for a while, but at this point it mostly recovered. It was only bleeding a little now, after all. It would probably leave some scarring for a few weeks, but that disappear before too long thanks to her body returning to the status quo before too long. Nothing that would impair functionality, though she would probably have to avoid cooking to help speed up the healing process. Her hair was safe, too, in spite of that tornado ( ... )

Maka's eyes widened as she accidentally took in Helion's thoughts, and she took a step forward, wondering, quite audibly how she had gotten hurt so badly.

"What happened to your head? Are you dizzy?" Her face was marred with concern, and her thoughts a jumbled mess of worry for her friend's well being.

"I'm sorry...I don't mean to overhear, but I can't help it, and I don't think you should just ignore that many injuries."

As it was, Helion was still unaware of the telepathy effect this week. Thus, when she started hearing other people's thoughts, she simply automatically assumed that they were Despair's thoughts rather than someone else's. Which is probably why the thought response was harsher than what Helion normally gave.

Yes yes, I shouldn't have gotten hurt so badly from such an enemy, though even if I did train all the time I would still do just as badly. Why are you complaining in the first place? You got to eat and we haven't been incapacitated or limited in any way. That's better than we did during the war.

Of course, at the same time, she was responding with Maka, smiling as ever as she downplayed her injuries.

"Well, there was a bit of a fight, and I wound up having to kill somebody's twin. I'm not dizzy or anything, though. That mostly healed itself up. You don't have to worry about the injuries though, they can't really get infected or anything, and it's not like there are any other spirits around here."
