Grell had been standing atop the Sant'Anna for some time already, his body leaning against the huge cross, chatting idly to an unseen figure, hidden from view. So far, his doppelgänger has yet to appear, and he preferred to keep it that way. He didn't like to share.

From the corner of his eyes, out stood a young looking lady, with her hair tied back and collecting the laundry. A predatory smile began to form, teeth bared, as he glanced back at the Clown, who mirrored his smile, wider and more twisted than his own.

"Time to raise the curtains~"

With that, he jumped down from his high spot, landing softly and silently behind her.

Emilia didn't hear Grell land behind her, so when she turned towards him, her arms piled with laundry, she let out a startled shriek.

"Don't sneak up on a person like that!" She admonished the... woman? Man? She was having trouble telling. "Can I help you with anything?"

He held up his hands in mock surrender, feigning surprise, pretending to be startled by her sudden outburst.

"Ah~ I do apologise, dear child. I had not meant to frighten you." He put on an apologetic mask on his face, smiling sheepishly. "Yes, there are some questions I would like to ask... That is, if you don't mind?"

That was a man's voice. Some people here sure were strange. Emilia stepped around this person, lading the way back into the church.

"I don't mind at all, just let me put these inside. What's your name?"
