He stretched and popped his back, rolled his neck, then disappeared off the branch in a flicker of movement to reappear some distance away on the ground. If Naruto intended to try and fling lightning in his direction, he didn't want Komaki caught in the blast. If that happened, he really would have to kill the idiot, and then he'd never hear the end of it.
"Every time you start the same," he tilted his jaw boredly and narrowed his stare. "And every time it's so ... underwhelming, Naruto. What is it you're intending to prove with this?"

Sasuke's words only fueled the anger in the pit of Naruto's stomach, and bright blue eyes flicked down to the hand that should have been forming that rasengan with the help of his clone. They widened even more after he let another minute slide by, before Naruto's glare turned back to Sasuke.
Why couldn't he form a rasengan?! Did Sasuke know that he couldn't already? Could Sasuke use chidori? Or was he limited too?
There was no time anyway. Naruto knew he had to move and work, fast, especially with the severe disadvantage he had put himself in no thanks to his inability to control his anger. The only thing helping him was the fact that Sasuke was still injured.
With that thought in mind Naruto snarled and as his clones started off to clear the distance between them and Sasuke, he followed closely behind. Blue eyes narrowed hard in anger and fists clenched, ready to beat his opponent with bare fists because he had nothing else. One clone changed course and moved left while the other went right; ( ... )

Weapons were rare and hard to come by in this place. It wouldn't do to lose one in the grass and end up scrambling after it like a genin with limited supplies.
There is no catching him off-guard, not with those eyes tracking Naruto's every step. And still Sasuke made no move to attack in kind. It was like he was waiting for something.
