[Kankuro's really not one to drink, not ever -- he needs his mind unclouded and his hands steady to be a puppeteer, and drinking fundamentally means being out of control. But right now, he'd welcome the strongest liquor in the world, if it would mean silencing the rampaging resentment and jealousy that keep curling around the back of his brain, telling him just why everyone he speaks to has it better than him.

So really, Tasuki's arrival is fortuitous. Not just because it means someone paying attention to him, out of all the people who aren't, but because it's a distraction from wrestling with his own affected brain.]

Tasuki? Hey, come on in.

[He's sitting in the desk chair, and waves a hand toward the bed, the only other place besides the floor to sit.]

[If he had any liquor to offer you Kankuro, he would in a heartbeat. Getting falling down drunk with a good friend was one of his favorite pastimes after all. One he has not been able to indulge in far too long.

Tasuki grins at the ninja, coming in and shutting the door behind him. Now the original thought in bringing the extra stuff was to crash on Kankuro's floor but now that he's here, and especially with the puppeteer offering, he finds he'd much rather have the bed. So he drops the blanket and pillow against the wall, tugs off his trench coat and drops onto the bed. He immediately sprawls onto his stomach, facing Kankuro. No reason he can't be comfortable, right?]

So wha's up, huh? Ya didn' look so great earlier y'know. Sorry I had ta take off on ya like that. The kid was throwin' a fit. I guess she just wants ta spend all her time with that damned brother a yers or summat now. Tch..

Tch. Everyone wants to spend time with him. He's the damned Kazekage after all.
