It's not that this isn't delicious, Inara, it's lovely. It's that the coffee down there is brewed from Blue Mountain beans and it tastes just like how Lenalee makes it.

[In fact, he's going to sit down there and scoop himself a fresh cup.]

I'll find a cover! It doesn't matter if it's in the lab, so are all the cups I drink from. Don't drain it!

Well, uh, I actually don't have any experience, but I like to work with my hands, and I'd like to help out, if there's any room for me...

Well, I was in the military for almost five years, but I dunno if that counts. I had some construction jobs before that, when I was in high school. Built a lotta stuff for my brother for fun, too.

[He shrugs.]

The military time counts. We can't be a team if we don't have people who know how to work with others under pressure.

You sound like just the sort of practical-minded man we need here.

You could decapitate yourself if you were desperate enough, but that really would be pretty pointless. There isn't a single entity in this space station with enough resilience to survive prying it off.
