One Haunting Tune in Text

I suppose leaving it to Spades was a terrible plan after all. I'm pretty sure I'm not dead, although the decor here almost makes me think I've gone to some ridiculous hell meant to torture my very mind specifically for myself. However, that is rarely the case and I really doubt it's even a possibility ( Read more... )

If you were dead before, you aren't dead now. You're in the Facility, a highly unpleasant place.

[A moment later, Sakuya sends a text link to Snowman's 'berry.]

Well, that's peculiar.

Unpleasant you say? [She's just browsing through the text as she talks to you, no worries.] I suppose it does sound a bit unpleasant. But I think I'll hold back my judgment for the time being. Afterall, some of this sounds a little fun. And I grow bored very easily.

It might not be so personally unpleasant right now, as we're having an 'off' week. But I expect it's going to take a radical turn for the worse soon. Such as the week everyone had a missing piece of themselves - my hands, in this case - and if you didn't find them both before 'reset', the loss was permanent. Or...

[No. She's not going to bring up what she knows of Week 103 to anyone she's just now meeting.]

...or there are some I know who have been here a year or more...

I find it pretty unpleasant right now. I'm not a fan of white in this quantity.

But missing limbs and having to find them? I can like a place with a sense of humor such as that. It's my kind of humor at least.

I suppose you had something important to do though that would make being stuck here more unpleasant.

You can at least change the decor in your own room, to alleviate how dreary it gets.

I suppose that is better then nothing.

Is anyone offering their services to perhaps decorate a room? I'm afraid I have nothing to use to make this room look less dull.

Not to my knowledge, but if you were to ask the population at large, I'm sure they'd think of something.

Or you can ask Val, the one who runs this place, for something. She might give it in exchange for a favour or action.

Val? Is she the little Lady in charge of this place then?
I assume getting in contact with her is easy to do, yes?
I'll keep that in mind.

Well, well, well.
I guess it would be familiar to you, Seer.
Perhaps I didn't give my name for it wasn't fitting to give it out.
I do have a choice whether I wish to disclose my name to others.

Know me?
You think you know who I am, Seer?
And just what exactly do you know about me?
I'm all eyes, ears, and whatever body part you wish to have my undivided attention.

Why, what a pleasant surprise it is to see you here, Your Highness. Or, I suppose I should say what a terrible misfortune. I suppose it really does depend on perspective.

Might I get you something, my lady? I unfortunately have no cigarettes to spare, however I can make you a cup of tea if it suits you.

It isn't so bad. I intend to get my decor changed though. I'm not a fan of the pure white scenery.

I'm sure someone in this place must have a cigarette to spare, but a cup of tea would be lovely. You sound like you've been here awhile. Am I late to some party?

I personally prefer green, myself. I'm sure someone in here is willing to redecorate for you, my dear.

I have been here for quite some time. Approximately seven months, give or take. Yet you are not so late, Your Majesty. In fact, I would say fashionably late. If you'd like some tea, I reside in room 4D. I'll be sure to ready some.

They better. I suppose if we get a lot of free time, I can do it myself though.

Seven months? That's a lot of time you know. And please, no need to keep calling me Your Majesty. I am under your guidance now. 4D huh? I hope you don't mind a bit of a wait. I've found myself on the other side and on the second floor no less! Of course a place would make it difficult to keep in contact.

As in Spades Lick? [Yes, that's a typo. Tyki doesn't function well with names unless he finds them importan to remember. And Tyki won't recognize her text even if he was her suitemate at one point]

I have cigarettes, but I won't give one to just anyone.

Cute name for him.
Perhaps I should call him that for now on.

And how would one acquire cigarettes from a gentleman like you?

You mean that's not it? Heh, I sort of like Mr. Woof [Jack Noir he meant] better than Spades. Never heard anyone call his name cute though.

A lot of things.

Mr. Woof?
Oh. I think I understand who you might be referring to.
I think the Spades Slick I know isn't who you're speaking about.

Like? I suppose being new puts me at a disadvantage, but I'm more then willing to try and accommodate.
