122 : Howard Link [VIDEO]

[Link's leaning against a tree in the biodome, eyes focused upward and a heavy frown on his face.]

I believe I've located my missing limb, but I can't reach it. [Too high to reach with his crutch and using his ofuda to knock it down just seems like it would be asking for trouble.] If someone who is able to climb trees would be willing to assist me ( Read more... )

I'm missing an arm right now, but I can probably still manage to climb a tree if you still need a hand. [Pause.] Hah. A hand.

[Clever, Tommy. Too bad this guy doesn't seem to appreciate the humor.]

Thank you, but I would prefer that no one risk themselves unnecessarily.

Strong legs. It's not a problem. [Superhuman lower body strength, actually. Also why you no laugh at his joke? Sads.] Sort of a superhero, saving body parts from trees is kind of what we do.

[He no laugh because he's a stick-in-the-mud.]

I appreciate the offer, but a young man who can fly is already on his way. [Apparently. Link wasn't expecting assistance to come so quickly.]

No problem.

[It takes Davesprite a while to find the right tree, but eventually he gets there and nods in greeting.]

Hey.

[Whoa. Orange kid. With wings.

Davesprite will find a pretty pathetic site waiting for him under the tree. With his left leg missing from below the knee and his right arm high up in the tree, it's a wonder he managed to get himself out here at all.]

Thank you for coming.

You found it so soon? Excellent! I'd offer to go for it myself, but you'd probably have to send someone up the tree to fetch me down as well.

[He nods.] Yes, the scarring is fairly distinctive, even at this distance.

Thank you anyway.

Get your rescuer to bring it back to the suite when you're done. I think it'd be best to sling it as near to it's original position as possible. Knowing the Doctors they'll probably attach it to wherever it's resting.

That's likely. [Frown. Stupid doctors.]

My right arm. [Meaning Link's functioning with a grand total of 2.5 limbs. Bad luck, this one.]

And you?
