A few years ago the Doctors ran a test, one they told us was a bit different from the rest. A few of us were going to have our hearts cut out while still alive, terminating us permanently. The Doctors gave us a week to panic, to make our goodbyes or to kill someone else in our places

It's not surprising they would. Even though I knew what it's likely to be, I panicked at first.

I suppose so. After all, not knowing the whole story does make some panic. But, they'll learn eventually.

Three years, I think. It's hard to keep track. In reality I've probably been here five or six years. They freeze us in time to set up the experiments.
