Dick, I've heard people saying you can make a deal with Val to get back... things. You need to give her something she considers of equal value. I could... give something up for you.

No. No. And no. [He's going to be very adamant about this obviously.] As much as I'd love to have both arms, what she considers equal is far different then what we think is equal. [Or maybe he just really doesn't want to bargain with her.]

I don't like the idea of an arm for an arm, an eye for an eye business. We'll find an alternative.

I know. But I don't want you giving up an arm. It isn't going to really change the fact that someone doesn't have an arm.
