Artemis Fowl II| Post 002 (+3)|[Video]

[The view seems to be from above Artemis, looking down through a grate. Artemis' eyes are slowly drifting about his small, plexiglass prison, and soon land on the camera, frowning softly. He pushes himself silently to his feet, and it becomes apparent that he's been handcuffed to the wall. He's busy trying to twist his hands free when the ( Read more... )

Any bright ideas?

Starlingly few. I may be able to open it from inside once I get high enough, but I would hate to find out that I'm unable to at that point...so...I'm more than a little distressed.

Understandably so.
I'm fairly perplexed at the grate, as most rooms don't seem to have any sort of ventilation in them, much less a shaft above them.

As far as my experience goes, at least. This followed by the problem of getting up above you.

I assume I'm below a room, or something of the like. I doubt the grate would have been there before now.

[...Just how many kids are in this place?] What do you have in mind?

[He wouldn't like to know you thought of him as a kid.] Ideally, someone lifting the grate off from the outside before I'm forced to test my strength or drown.

[Hey, he's a dad. You're all kids to him, whippersnapper. Now get off his lawn.] Unfortunately, I can't help you there. I'm far too big to squeeze through any sort of ductwork. Has anyone else contacted you? If not we can start trying to figure out a way for you to break that thing.

Why does everyone assume I'm refering to some sort of duct work? A grate more like a sewer run off I suppose. Or at least, that's the best approximation I can make from down here.

[He gives a short nod, glancing up.] Yes, I believe someone is coming. Whether I will be rescued in time remains to be seen.

[At first he nearly reacted simply because of the likeness but his eyes narrowed faintly as he studied him, those slitted crimson eyes focusing on the boy. No, it wasn't his Ciel. The eyes were different and he would've known and felt him had he arrived. The demon in the butler and tailcoat was amused by the level of calm much like it would be found in his young master, except his young lord would've most likely reacted to the blood in some manner]

Artemis, was it?

[He turns his mismatched eyes upwards.] It was, yes. I don't suppose you've seen a grate either, have you? [There is the slightest waver of anxiety in his voice, but he is doing his best. Panicking wouldn't help him out of this any faster. ...But his suit really was going to be entirely ruined now.]

There are grates everywhere, but I'm afraid most of them do not lead anywhere and are rather small, child. [Oh he said it as a test to see his reaction. Ciel would have a fit if he was called a child.] Though with that amount of blood flowing freely, there is a chance I could find you. Then again, so much blood is scenting the air.

[His lips twitch into a small scowl, eyes narrowing slightly. Some how that has never ceased to get a rise from him, no matter how hard he tried to hide it. But he wants help, so he swallows back a terse reply with a stiff nod.]

Are you some sort of hound?
