X... I... O... N... [You can totally tell he's writing that out. Congrats, you're his first enrolled student! Who wasn't originally his student anyway.] When's a good time for you to have class? I'm wide open, obviously, and you being the first to volunteer means you get to pick when everyone else gets to come to class. Lucky you.

[He opens his mouth and quotes him.]

'I'm just looking for an excuse to talk at some underage kids about life for a while.'

[Okay, she can understand how knowing how to stitch up a gash on your back would be helpful, though god forbid you'd ever get into a situation to put it to practice. But--]

Picking locks is a life skill?

Taxes sound boring, but can we really lern about gash stitching?

prideofwisdom April 30 2011, 01:23:30 UTC
Of course we can. I'm probably the best person around to teach you about stitching things back up where they belong.

Very helpful. I'll put your name down. And question, do you know anything about external medicine at all or do I need to start from scratch? I don't want to assume.

Who would actually want to go to school without being forced?

...Wait, lock-picking?

[Yes. His interest is slightly piqued. Slightly.]

That's what I said.

[Eyebrow raise. You know you want to join the class. Don't fight it.]

Maybe I'll check it out. Maybe.

[Probably. Definitely. Because like he's not enough of a delinquent already, even without breaking and entering skills.]

Eleven AM in the rec room if you're serious.

[And Stein smirks, because he can tell that, yup, the kid was interested.]
