She had been hiding up in a tree, crouching on a branch, watching this new antlerbeast for a while. She really wanted to wait for him to pass by, pounce on his butt, and start chewing on those haunches! she didn't really even to eat him, she just wanted to play.
But that scary howlerbeast kept running around with him. Stupid howlerbeast. You are ruining the hunt!]

The dog stops in his tracks, ears flicking back and forth, nose working overtime at the new smell in the air. No wind to hide behind so it was easier to pick up scents, some were old and faint but this one...this one was different.
