[Gene takes out his guitar and matches her playing with his own. His eyes are closed and his fingers do the talking on the strings while managing to keep the pace.]

[Tifa jumps a bit. She was a bit surprised, her communicator had turned on. When she noticed it was Gene, and he was playing her Mother's song. She blinked. A few seconds later and she started playing once again, harmonized.]

[He didn't exactly notice her jump since his eyes were closed. Playing by ear took a lot of concentration and there were a few times that he missed a note or two but nothing that was considered too badly damaging to the song.]
