Okay, I'm bored and tired of watching people squish spiders so here's a riddle.

A man goes up stairs and turn off a light. Afterward, he goes to bed and falls asleep. The next morning he reads the paper and then kills himself. Why did he kill himself?

If you have the answer then lock it in a reply- just five percent should be enough.
