[The feed clicks on to show a rather frazzled alchemist. He's been locked away in his room working now that his powers are back, only taking the absolutely necessary breaks (and those only because he didn't want to worry Fletcher). There's smudges of charcoal on his hands and face, the imprint of part of a transmutation circle actually printed on ( Read more... )

I'm fine.

[Have a Fakir, all dressed in tights and obviously ready for some practice... and giving Russell one of those looks, since the blond obviously isn't fine.]

... You've got alchemy on your face.

I... [Watch him look awkward and guilty because he... was so worried about Fletcher that he didn't even think to look for you on that list.] Are you a master this week Fakir? or at least no one awful as your master if not?

[blink...brow furrow... alchemy on his face...?] I.... what?

[Oh, stop that. Fakir can take care of himself just fine... though he doesn't realize just how easy he's gotten off this week.]

I'm a master, but I'm not giving anyone orders.

[Fakir motions to his own face, trying to show Russ where the marks are. He doesn't remember all the terms Russell uses for that crazy alchemy stuff of of his... so yes. Alchemy on his face. :|]

I was under the impression that the masters were suffering as well if they refused to give orders. [Don't you lie to him Fakir. You see this look? This is an alchemist ready to start babying you like he does Fletch if you lie and say you're fine.]

Charcoal...? [Okay that look is ruined when he realizes what Fakir means, eyes widening for a moment as he scrubs at his face with his sleeve, removing some and smearing the rest around.]

I'm... fine, Allen. Just trying to catch up from last week.

How are you doing?

I did. They are assisting greatly with my research. Some of them are plants I'd never seen before.

I am a 'slave' to one of my suitemates, though I have yet to receive an order... [As unhappy as he is about being a slave he is equally unhappy that Zuko's hurting himself over something like this.] And yourself?

.... [well... this is a little awkward isn't it?... ahem...]

So... how are you feeling? Others have experienced pain when refusing to give any orders... are you alright?

I can deal with a headache. I don't need to order you around.

I have something that would help that I could give you? Or you could order me to give it to you which would work much more effectively.

Really I shouldn't give you anything. It would be a waste to give you medicine for a headache that will only get worse and I don't waste any of my supplies.

Brother, you should go to bed.

[Those absolutely necessary breaks? Ya, not enough. And don't think that Fletch wouldn't march right over there and find a way to make him take a proper break, because you know he would.]

I'm fine, Fletcher. I've lots of work to catch up on, having been unable to transmute last week.

[But notice that he's not actually meeting that look of yours. Abrupt topic shift is a go.]

But never mind me. Are you alright, Fletcher? Are your wrists okay? You're not... coughing too much?

[Not quite believing you.]

I'm fine. You don't have to worry so much. [Well, at least he's not dealing with anything he can't handle. And the nice little garden he's started in his room is a good distraction.] I've got some fresh berries, would you like them?

Fletcher. [You hear that disapproving tone? If he finds out you've been transmuting in here you're done for kid.]

Where did you get berries? You haven't been transmuting have you? These collars wear you down so much faster than normal alchemy ever would. You can't do alchemy here. Not with the collars silver and not with your health.
