Henry looked down and made sure that everything was ready. He'd been quiet all day yesterday and for good reason, he knew what yesterday was, all too well but other than give his wife a bunch of flowers and a card, nothing more had been said on the matter

Dawna walked up to the house, loaded down with bags with things the kids had bought her. They'd had a great time, laughing and talking the entire time, and though she was tired, it had been perfect. She opened the front door, calling out, "Love? I'm home."

"In here!" he called back, hoping his voice didn't show just how nervous he was. He'd gotten everything ready, had cleared it with all of the people he needed to clear it with and she just hoped that she would say yes. But then he had next to no doubt in his mind that she would.

She put her bags down just inside the door and headed toward her husband's voice, smiling. "Did you have a good day?" she called as she walked.

He nodded even though she couldn't see hi and grinned; "I had a wonderful day, how was yours?" He didn't move from where he was though, letting her come to him, grinning as she came into the room, wandering over to her. There were a selection of plain, manila envelopes on the main table in the living room but he would get to those in s short time.
