Will someone inform me if the explosions are a regular thing. Not many people seem entirely surprised.

Miss Raine, I've yet to give you my thanks for the room...I'm not one for social interactions. But you have been a most gracious hostess, and not suffer my silence for much longer.

Excel. Young woman. I want a written log of my past customers, our ( Read more... )

ah so you're awake and outside the room. Well then, I should introduce myself.

I'm Ted, Ted Forrester, I'm with the police and currently crashing on your couch.

So there is a police force here.

Todd. Sweeney Todd.

Relatively young from my understanding, I've only been here about a month.

Waverly has told me about you, said you were a barber?

I see. Hm.

Yes, I am...and I apparently own a parlor here.

They're ot exactly normal, but we're just used to odd things happening pretty regularly.

Settling in alright, Mr. Todd?

Thus the recent monarchy of cats, and the unavoidable singing some time ago.

Well enough, Ms. Blake. How are you faring.

Exactly. The cat thing was kinda fun, though...

I was glad to remain inside.

Had you been doing worse before?

It's not always pyrotechnics causing chaos round here, but our regularly scheduled programming gets interrupted by something on at least a weekly basis. The city moves on quicker than you'd think.

This is just a small bump in the road, is it.

To most people it will be. The ones who died might not want to trivialise it quite the same.

I would imagine not. Of course, when the dead can still -walk- and form opinions...

I would dearly like to know if they are regular as well, if you are given an answer. Waking to such noise was quite a fright.

I can't imagine how the people here -sleep- well.

just_rosey January 30 2008, 19:13:31 UTC
Some people clearly have no manners regarding such a need.

Apparently not. And here, it's apparently a regular thing.

H-Huh? ..... Was I... Supposed to be taking notes......?

........ Oh! Hey now, wait a minute, don't shops like this usually keep records of that kinda thing stored somewhere anyway? Didja check under the register?

If I know myself, I was bound to keep them near the back of the shop, in some quiet drawer.

What I want you to do is add up the numbers, and give me a list of names. Can you do this.

Well, I don't normally do that kinda stuff on the job, but I'd like to think that a lifetime of penny-pinching and tax evasion has made me wise in the way of numerical compilation.

So sure, why the heck not?
