She’s happy with him. With the way he treats her, and with the way his eyes light up whenever there is the prospect of them sharing time together without his duties as a king.

Sometimes when she is together with him she gets a pang of guilt stabbing her from the inside. It tugs and tears and she feels like she should feel ashamed that she is enjoying her time with her current husband and king.

She knows that somewhere in a different reality, a different world or even a different universe is her son. Little Zan was growing up mother-less, living with his father Max and Max’ pure-hearted girlfriend Liz Parker.

Would they treat him like he was their love child? Max would for sure treat their son in the best way. He loved him, even before he was born; she knew for sure that Max would be a good father to their child. But what about Liz Parker? Could she just ignore the fact that half of what her child was, was made by her genes. Could she forget that there was half of him that she hated by connection.

She felt guilty and sad then. But not for long, because in the times when she was invaded by grief and guilt, Eomer would sit with her and would try to ease her mind. And she was grateful to him.

She loved him. He was her husband. Her king. Her other half.
