apologies for not writing in awhile, things have been hectic, and real life has preoccupied much of my time, leaving less-than-usual procrastination time for internet dawdling.

news, in a nutshell:

I don't think people voted for McGuinty - I think they voted for their MPPs - or against Mr Tory. No one likes McGuinty :P

and THAT is exactly what "strategic" voting will get you: another four years of liar-face.

i voted for my preferred MPP too. i'm not gonna pretend to be completely un-partisan. and if more eligible voters had gotten off their sorry lazy asses and done the same, maybe it would have made a difference.

apathy gets the rich even richer, and makes us all look more the fools.

BONUSSSSS! :D

I fully intended to vote Green, but as I sat there looking at the ballot, I felt like I didn't want to throw my vote away... Then I considered NDP, but I know nothing about that guy and I don't care for the party, so since I consider myself a Liberal, that's where I put my X. I don't care for McGuilty, but I'll stab myself in the eye before I give a conservative any power.

if you read my comment above, regarding "strategic" voting, you already know my opinion on this line of reasoning. but thanks for being honest about voting liar-face's party into power again. that gives you one point above him [the honesty part].

I didn't mean to not respond about the last batch of bass demos you sent me, I just was in other provinces for a couple weeks!

I find it hard to judge them because they're still all out of tune... which is, I know, my fault!

yeah, but it doesn't excuse that my musical ear should be working better. and also that i'm being less inventive than usual, even aside from that. it's been so long since i collaborated, i'm rusty.

still, i don't think i will find the notes in a standard-tuned scale. i've tried, they just seem to fall somewhere in-between. quarter-tones, or worse... ...what i wouldn't give to have a fretless bass again...

bwahahahahaha incestuous ottawa!

yeah, well "work" is a loose term, but i have been collaborating with jesse in that i am working on a bassline for him currently. it would be easier if he were still in ottawa, rather than out in edmonton! :P

jesse and audra and i have actually only hung out a couple of times, this past summer; i played wii with them, and then went to a show with them, then later in the summer i went to a show of jesse's, just before they left. they are great people; i hope to see them again. :)

last night was fun! did you manage to get tour bus action? :P

you simply MUST meet Audra; she is the epitome of sweet.

see, i commented on one of Jesse's LJ posts once, and then all of a sudden she adds me to MSN and starts chatting with me, and tells me he's moving to ottawa soon, and we should meet up and hang out, so we did! they entertained me with Wii, and then she sent me a preview of verba volant when it was done, and i emailed her saying how awesome it was, and that i'd do bass-work for jesse anytime, and she told him that! next thing i know, he emails me a track to work on. :) so the collaboration is totally her fault, heheh. then i went to a jesse d show just before they left ottawa, and when we parted ways at the end of the evening, she hugged me like old friends, it was very cool. she is quite endearing. you must meet her one day indeed!

tour bus action! i can picture it now; shawn macking matt. lol!
