“Merry Christmas,” he murmurs against her lips, and he’s pulling her closer to him and all she can think of is how she never wants to let go.
She knew there was a reason Christmas was her favorite holiday.

Bella’s in the kitchen making pasta for Charlie and she inches past the windowsill to where he’s waiting patiently for Bella’s return.
“You shouldn’t be here,” he warns in a low voice as she hears the strains of Bella’s peaceful humming.
She wraps her legs around his waist and presses herself that much closer. “Just shut up and kiss me.”

Emmett’s off in the woods hunting and it’s just the two of them, and she’s really not quite sure how it happens, but it does and ohmygod she’s wondering why they haven’t been doing this for the past twenty years.
They lay in bed for the next few minutes, limbs tangled in some sort of knot that perfectly describes what they’ve just gotten themselves into.
“That was,” Edward fumbles around for something to say. “… nice.”
She laughs and she can see herself doing this for the rest of her life, or death. After all, if this is hell on earth, she might as well keep on sinning.

He kisses her on the stairwell after Bella, Alice and Jasper leave for Phoenix.
“Be careful,” she whispers against his neck. “I don’t think I could stand losing you.”
He kisses her forehead. “I’ll be here for you always, I promise.”

Bella’s watching them carefully, almost as if she can sense that there’s something happening under the surface. Rosalie can feel her gaze and she chafes under its harsh emotion. She’s never pretended to like Bella, but its not like Bella has any reason to think that she hasn’t won.
Edward touches the small of her back. “Are you alright?”
She knows that he knows exactly what’s going on, and that he’s probably got a thousand half-formed ideas running rampant through his mind, trying to figure out the quickest way to get out of it. She smiles up at him softly and nods, letting her brain do the talking for her.
Emmett dances past them, drunk on happiness and glee. He kisses her cheek and twirls her around again and again, and after a few dozen spins, she’s replaced with Bella.
She returns to Edward by the doorframe. They’re barely touching arms and already she’s feeling the connection. Alice watches with all-knowing eyes from her perch beside Jasper.
“Look,” Bella says softly, pointing above Edward. “Mistletoe.”
Edward turns to Rosalie with an apology in his eyes. The kiss is brotherly at best, a brush of lip against cheek. Instinctively she leans into his touch and she thinks that they’ve been found out. She pulls away after an eternity only to find things exactly how they were before the kiss.
Only Alice keeps staring at her, and Edward keeps pressing his finger next to hers, and if this is how Christmases are going to be for the rest of eternity, she’s going to need to find a new favorite holiday.
