It tastes like a regular omelette. The rice paper doesn't add a lot to the taste, mostly just the slightly crunchy, chewy texture..

I’ve never heard of this! Do you soak the ride paper, or put it into the pan fry and stiff? It looks like a great way to use up some rice paper I have in the pantry!

You don't need to soak the rice paper as the warmth of the pan and the moisture of the egg cracked on top, broken up and spread over the rice paper with chopsticks/the back of a spoon is enough to moisten the paper.

I subscribe to several Japanese filmed YT channels where I'm exposed to restaurant, street and festival foods. And, there are often food tiktoks posted in the reels section of Facebook that I check out.
