Haven't made a pie in a while and since peaches were in season ... and on sale, I bought some last week and finally got around to making a pie today. I used a recipe for the filling that I found on line here.
I used my late friend Ann's no fail pie crust recipe since I had a scant 1/4 cup of sour cream left in the fridge and wanted to use it up before it went bad. With the egg and baking powder, it makes for a nice flaky pastry. Sadly, I now have no sour cream for the perogies and caramelized onions I was going to have for supper today.
It's the first day of the month and the cars are supposed to switch the sides of the street they're parked on. At 11am, my lovely neighbours still haven't bothered dragging themselves outside to make the switch making for tricky driving on the side streets which I prefer to take.
Oh well, I'll go grocery shopping Friday morning (fingers crossed) and possibly get my hair cut as well. Hopefully there are no car issues (knocks wood).
