I made scrambled eggs yesterday. Nothing fancy, but a nice, light, protein punch to start the day.

I love salami - all types, but especially the hot varieties. I bet it went wonderfully with your homemade flatbread!

I adore meringues.

Excellent idea to add fresh ginger to the smoothie - I will have to remember that!

Scrambled eggs are great. I usually add some salsa to the top. :)

As to the ginger, mango and ginger go together, I think.

Wow, when you said you have a weekend of cooking ahead, you weren't kidding! I would so love hanging out at your house for the weekend. The best I managed was lamb curry and pan friend noodles last night and TBG came up with a breakfast sandwich that he wants to try - a fried egg, grilled tomatoes, mango sausage (plank cuts) and lettuce on toast. It sounds great. We will have to see.

As always, your post inspire me to stretch myself as a cook. Thanks for posting these!

I love lamb curry. That sounds like an intriguing sandwich.

As to the cooking left ... there are a few more dishes I'm making today ... quinoa stuffed peppers and a couple of perogie based ones.

The sandwich was great! Super messy to eat with your hands, which made it an even bigger win in my book. :D

Happy cooking. We are at a friend's house tonight, so I have the day off. :D

Some sandwiches need to be eaten in your kitchen ... over the sink so you can wash your hands and face afterwards. :)

It really stands up to the soaking unlike that commercial stuff which turns to mush. Even just plain toast made with it is great ... spread some peanut butter on and watch it melt. :)
