WARNING: Picture heavy post

The first month of the new year is almost gone and, while I ate well, I've had to be very frugal in my grocery shopping. Which meant foraging in my freezer for things I bought in more affluent days. Some of the meals were very simple while others were a bit more fussy.

I always feel like such a rank amateur after one of your posts. I think I'm doing well making stock and you roll all these goodies out. Sigh, you are my hero.

Thank you but I have lots of free time to cook/bake. One thing at a time is more than doable.

It's true. I have a couple of hours, if I'm lucky after work. Weekends are better, but there's still not an overabundance of time, even then.
