Pizza is always a good meal. As to the noodle and cabbage dish ... I've never tried it but it does sound intriguing. Maybe with some crispy bacon. I think the Polish version adds kielbasa to it too.
As a dish commonly cooked by poor peasants, meat would have rarely been added. I've been researching recipes. Some caramelize sugar and add the shredded cabbage to it and then saute it. I like the look of the ones that used a purple cabbage, cooking it in butter or bacon fat and adding the crispy bacon at the end.
