Just add some crushed sea salt to the caramel sauce after it's cooked along with the vanilla extract. It will 'sort of' dissolve adding some salt to cut the sweetness.

Oh, I want and it's only four in the morning.

I know what you mean when you ask for help and get links to things. Heck, I can do that, but some personal comment can make or break a recipe. It also makes me wonder just how dumb they think I am.

*hugs* and I hope stuff brightens up there

Maybe they've made the recipe but in that case, mention that and maybe things you did differently or what to watch out for when making it ... there are always personal notes that you can add when recommending a recipe. I even said that I'd made a version of the buns so I'm familiar with the general recipe.

It rained earlier and is going to rain/drizzle again thru the day. A miserable weekend overall. :(

PS: I'm making hamburger buns ... some whole wheat flour, honey, milk powder added to the water instead of milk which I'm running low on.

Some people are just so anxious to answer that they don't often even fully comprehend the question ahead of time. You would think if you'd made the recipe, you'd offer some insight.

I went to Michaels. I'm making a door sign. Hamburger buns sound more interesting...

I haven't visited a Michaels in 20 years ... since I used to cross-stitch and needed various odds and ends.

Last minute change in plans ... I used the entire 2 lbs of dough for the 9x5" loaf pan. And then overproofed it before baking. And then dropped the loaf as I was tranferring the pan to the cooling rack. It's been one of THOSE days.

Splendid cream puff. Most tasty.

Last week I made a strawberry cake which was very yummy. I also made a pineapple upside down cake which I've made many times before, but for the first time was disappointed with it. I had no buttermilk but was told by the interwebz that plain yogurt was an acceptable substitute. I beg to differ >:|

This week I plan to make these orange cookies, which taste just like those sinfully delicious Pillsbury orange rolls that come in a tube, only of course better because homemade.

I've seen something similar to that strawberry cake but with shredded or chopped apples. The strawberry looks delicious.

The cookies sound good too. I look forward to some pictures though to appreciate the recipe. :)
