I've been craving sushi again ... and you know what THAT means.

Oh my word, if your last post wasn't bad enough, now you come bearing Japanese and Chinese food. I love making hand rolls, but have better luck eating the regular rolls. The teeth don't cut the way the shiso as they should. Still, I wouldn't mind making a mess with these. I do love California rolls.

I just didn't have the energy to make regular sushi rolls so I thought I'd make hand rolls. I liked using the shiso leaves ... hopefully I can keep the plants going through the winter now that I've transplanted the 5 plants I have into larger pots with fresh potting soil.

The mitsuba isn't doing as well. I've only got one plant really doing well. Lost the leaves on the other 2 for some reason. They fell off and all I've got is stems.

Stems? that's depressing. We've lost all our outdoor herbs and I can't keep anything herbal inside and alive these days. I need to find a better spot for them.

I pitched the herbs I planted though I DID keep the ones I had bought and planted in the cement planters. I just don't have the room to keep them inside even if I wanted to bring in the (pill) bugs that are in the soil.
