Nothing new about this post. I had intended to make a different kind of pesto but my poor basil plants have gone to flower, cause I'm neglecting them. The big leaves at the bottom are turning yellow and dropping off. At least I'm watering every day which is a necessity in this hot weather and a hot weather alert is coming up again. It was all really good even though things were kind of "hot" ... between the temperature in the kitchen, the weather outside and (... well I just don't need to go into that).

I'm not really keen on excessive basil, although I tend to grow a mess of it just on principle.

The creamy chicken pesto looked esepcially yummy!

I like making pesto bread the way some people enjoy cinnamon raisin swirl; it makes sandwiches that much better. :)

I don't tend to make my own pesto since finding a lovely low-sodium one in the store. *is bad*

And I really am going to bed, but your post looked yummy.

Last time I made pesto bread it was that 'wreath'. I had one slice. The rest was given away. And it was REALLY good too. :)

I used jarred pesto for it.

Thank you. It feels good to be able to give to others even if all you have is time and the product of your hands.

Neither do I. I'd like to make another rolled bread with pesto in it. There's SO much flavour from a bit of pesto.
