Bang Bang Shrimp (and Chicken) version 2

I've made Bang Bang Shrimp before but simply sauteed the raw shrimp in a garlic butter and then coated them in the sauce. This time however, I went for the more challenging version and tempura battered the raw shrimp and then deep fried them. YUM! This all looks so fine!

I very, very rarely deep-fry, in fact it's been years... It is keen to have a deep-fry party every once in awhile, I used to have a turkey deep-fryer that was fantastic for that. I'd like to get one again someday.

The worst part is now I have to dispose of the stinky fish oil cause after deep frying fish, it's done for.

I'm stock piling a big 4 liter container until it's full cause it has to be taken to the recycling depot.

Cooking oil - 20-litre pail, no charge (limit two pails)

I know ... even though it would take me years to accumulate 20 liters of cooking oil cause I fry so rarely. I'm hoping to pass the jug off to my handyman/grass cutter/snow shoveller cause he goes to the recycling depot more regularly than I do.

He took all my dad's paint, turpentine, pesticides etc when I hired him to clean out my basement all those years ago.
