Yay for pie, and beer, and pizza, and that spaghetti looks delicious!

I'm going to scour your recipes for quiche today - I've never made quiche before, but I am making it tonight. I am going to use ham, and onion, and cheddar cheese. Wish me luck!!!

Nothing really fancy, just filling and with stuff I had in my freezer, fridge or pantry.

You have to start with a baked pie crust for quiche ... check out the 'quiche' tagged posts for various fillings and crust recipes.

I've got the pastry ready to go, and found the recipe that will work for me... Like you, we have been thinning out our freezer and fridge during these lean times!

All this gorgeous food might come from necessity but it's so much better than most people eat. I'm so hungry after looking at all of this. The pork buns are calling my name.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm thankful for the good example set by my mom of buying in larger quantities when possible and freezing for lean times. And making my meals FEEL special with little treats so I don't feel like I'm living on a tight budget. It's psychological conditioning. :)
