Yum! Looks like you are restocking your freezer with a passion now. The blackberry/raspberry lemonade looks so good. It is so hot and humid here that it would hit the spot. I will be glad to be home to the lower humidity.

Between work lunches and suppers at home, I expect to go through today's bbq results in the next couple of weeks. The lemonade was a refreshing way to use up the fruit I bought a week or so ago. I can buy 3 x 170 gm clamshells or blueberries, blackberries or raspberries for $5 this week. I was going to make blueberry crumble bars but the peaches looked SO good that I switched up my plans.

I suspect you will, but it's great that you have been able to get so much work as of late. You much be relieved to be able to have some income after that long dry spell.

I know what you mean. More than once, I've gone to the market for one thing and ended up with two or three others, just because the produce looks so good.

The cliche of 'it never rains but it pours' is true of more than the weather lately. After a long dry spell, I could now work every day ... if my body would take the wear and tear.

Teachers had their number of sick days reduced in the last contract, plus it's no longer possible to BANK them any more and apply them to the end so as to take an earlier retirement. So, if you don't use your allotted sick days, you lose them.

Teachers are responding by TAKING their unused sick days in the last 6 weeks of school as a result. With field trips, sports events, workshops, and actual sick days, there are days when they run out of even the EMERGENCY supply teachers and have to call in grade school supply teachers. Last Friday, they sent me from one school, where I was supposed to spend the whole day, to another school for the afternoon cause they were desperately short there.

Crazy.
