Bread crumbs (or soaked bread) + milk +onion remind me of my mum's meat patties (never called hamburgers ;-) ). I do sometimes prepare burgers at home (grill pan since I don't have even a proper balcony to grill, not to mention an outside space) but I must say I prefer kofta and anything with ground lamb... In general I'd happily replace all the beef in shops with lamb ;-) Your kofta look really delicious! Sissi (http://www/.withaglass.com

At $8 a pound, ground lamb is a treat so I appreciate it more when I get it.

You know, as much as I love lamb, I've never used it for a hamburger... lamburger? You have inspired me to try this!

It's a nice change of pace from beef. I just wish I had had fresh herbs to add to the meat but the dried herbs weren't bad.

We only have ground beef once every couple of weeks at most. Usually hamburgers are a great treat. Still, I do love lamb.

Lean ground beef is $4 a pound on sale compared to lean ground lamb at $8 a pound. So, it's a special treat. Fresh leg of lamb (short cut) is $5 a pound on sale.
