"Sort-of" Meyer Lemon (Lemon and Orange) Curd

I haven't been able to find any Meyer lemons so far, but I wanted to make a curd which was similar in flavour, so I substituted some of the lemon juice in my curd recipe with freshly squeezed orange juice. The result is this "Sort of" Meyer Lemon Curd.

Those look great and I have a tree full of Meyer lemons. I forget how easy it is to make crepes. Thanks for the reminder.

Making crepes is easy ... like making cream puffs. Something else you could fill with your lemon curd.

I think I'm going to make some lemon curd tiramisu next. And dip the biscuits ('Nilla wafers instead of ladyfingers) in limoncello instead of espresso. I just have to figure out a way to make it not TOO sweet.

How different in taste is espresso from regular coffee? Or is it coffee in general that he doesn't like? I'd be tempted to spike regular coffee with a coffee liqueur and make it anyway. :) I've bought the ladyfingers to make tiramisu with but just never got around to getting the mascarpone. I think the use of raw eggs in the dessert also put me off.

Gosh, this looks so tasty. I love crepes, and I love lemon! What a nice idea for a light dessert that doesn't spare on flavour.

Thank you. I now have a bunch of lemon curd to get through so I made limoncello tiramisu. Will post when I cut into it.

Oh, that sounds SO GOOD! Lemon is one of my favourite flavours. I keep meaning to make preserved lemon to add to dishes, maybe this spring... I also just saw a recipe for a wild ferment lemon chutney I'd like to try out!

Thank you. I've admired those jars of preserved lemons seen in blogs but I know I'm unlikely to ever use the stuff. :(

I have never tried a meyer lemon nor even seen one. I'm not sure they're available in Oz. I do love the look of your lemon crepes - one of my most favourite desserts xx http://hotlyspiced.com

Thank you so much. I had a craving for lemon curd and am looking for more ways to enjoy it since putting it on toast doesn't really appeal. I just found out it's a great topping on plain cheesecakes too. :)
